Acrylic on canvas. 36 x 36 inches.
Our recollections of faces are a coalescence of memorable encounters and impressions. As the cells in our bodies regenerate, faces are constantly changing, yet they are a constant marker of identity. These paintings demonstrate this idea. While stereoscopic images usually depict two points in space, these portraits simultaneously show two points in time for these women who have undergone plastic surgery to alter their appearance.
